Welcome to the Sacred Heart Nightly Devotion
Like most people, you probably have never heard of the night adoration and you are wondering what it is.Night adoration in the home consists in the giving up of an hour of sleep, per month, for praying to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was founded as a means of offering reparation to the Sacred Heart in families for sins committed in and against the home.
We all know the attacks against families are plentiful and we need all the Divine help we can get to keep us from harm. Maybe you would like to get married and find the right person to have a family with. Or if you already have children/grandchildren, you would also be aware of how hard it is to keep the faith in the family, given all the evil influences they can have outside the home.
You only need to spare one hour per month, in between the hours of 9pm and 5am, and have some prayers to say during that time.
Is it hard? Not really!
Aren't we all up, at some point, during those hours?
Maybe watching TV, listening to a podcast, looking after someone, reading something or talking to family members.
Why not replace one of those activities, ONCE A MONTH, in reparation to the Sacred Heart?
Our Lord gives us all the help we need; if we ask for it. So ask and you shall receive!
Who doesn’t have some important decision to take regarding a job, children's future, temporary worries, health....?
No one can really pretend they can take the right decision if they do not pray for it.
And to top it all you could gain a plenary indulgence as long as the necessary conditions are met.
Our Lord makes it as easy as possible for us to love Him and repay Him.
Will you make the effort to pay Him back?
The Sacred Heart of Jesus said to St Margaret Mary: "Make reparation for the ingratitude of men. Spend an hour in prayer to appease divine justice, to implore mercy for sinners, to honour Me, to console Me for my bitter suffering when abandoned by My Apostles when they did not watch one hour with me"
